Outreach Community Partners

FIRST STEP – MOTHERS AND INFANTS PROGRAM – A residential program for pregnant women who are recovering from addictions. As babies are born, they are incorporated into the program for the remainder of the mother’s stay. Parenting education groups are provided year-round.

MANATEE COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM – Six public libraries participate in this program, serving a cross-section of community parents with mobile children up to five years old. Partners In Play® parenting groups are offered weekly year-round.

MORE TOO LIFE – This organization offers programs and resources that educate and empower survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Their resources provide the necessary tools for young adult victims and vulnerable youth to overcome the extreme trauma of all forms of human trafficking. Individual Therapy sessions are provided to individuals and families referred by More Too Life staff.

HARVEST HOUSE – Harvest Houses’ Home Again program serves 108 parents and children in a longer-term supportive housing solution, allowing families to access affordable housing coupled with other crucial social services, as the ultimate solution to homelessness. Mental health groups are provided for families on improving communication and strengthening relationships.

SAFE PLACE AND RAPE CRISIS CENTER (SPARCC) – A residential program for families and their children who have fled abuse and are transitioning to safer living solutions. Individual therapy is provided to families with children under the age of five, year-round.

SALVATION ARMYThe PATHWAYS of HOPE is a residential program for homeless families and their children where they receive free housing and support while they rebuild their lives. Individual therapy is offered to their families, year-round.

SAFE CHILDREN COALITION – A non-profit Community-Based Care provider of education, prevention, diversion, and child welfare services including adoption and foster care. Clients are referred with case plans who need to take an evidence-based parenting education class per their court order for reunification.

SARASOTA COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARIES – All nine public libraries participate in this program, serving a cross-section of community parents with mobile children up to five years old. Partners In Play® parenting groups are offered weekly year-round.

SARASOTA MEMORIAL LATCH CLINIC – Weekly clinic provided at Forty Carrots Family Center, provides a hands-on approach where you can receive assistance breastfeeding or simply visit with other breastfeeding mothers. Facilitated by a Sarasota Memorial Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

SELAH FREEDOM – A residential program for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in the Southwest Florida area. Mental health groups with an evidence-based curriculum are provided to mothers working towards reunification with their children.

SOLVE MATERNITY HOMES – A residential program for young homeless pregnant women who need a safe living environment during and after pregnancy. Parenting education groups are provided weekly, year-round in their Manatee County facility.

TEEN COURT – A program whose mission is to introduce area youth to activities and services that promote feelings of self-esteem and self-improvement while instilling and teaching the benefits of law-abiding citizenship and civic engagement. Adolescents are referred by Teen Court for Individual and Family Therapy sessions.

CENTERPLACE HEALTH – A Federally Qualified Health Center providing high-quality, low-cost health care at three locations in Sarasota County. Individual sessions are provided to children, adolescents, and families at the Sarasota location through their Children’s Behavioral Health program.

SARASOTA COUNTY JAIL – The Corrections Division is responsible for the care, custody, and control of inmates housed at the Sarasota County Jail. Parenting Education services are provided to inmates in the recovery and re-entry pods for both female and male inmates, utilizing an evidence-based curriculum for those working towards reunification with their children.

NAEYC – The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a professional membership organization that works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children, birth through age 8, by connecting early childhood practice, policy, and research.

SCHOOL DISTRICT OF MANATEE COUNTY

SOAR IN 4 – A Manatee County’s Initiative that ensures all 4-year-olds and their families have the opportunities and support they need for success in preschool, school, and beyond. Partners In Play® bilingual parenting groups are offered to families from six Title 1 Public Schools monthly, year-round.

TEENAGE PARENT PROGRAM (TAPP) – This program facilitates the completion of high school for any expecting or parenting teenage students in the Manatee County Public School System. Parenting education groups are provided weekly to the parents during the school year.

SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS

ALTA VISTA – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, mental health groups are offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Counseling Department and administration.

BRENTWOOD ELEMENTARY – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from 1st to 5th grades. Throughout the school year, individual therapy is offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Social Worker.

CYESIS TEEN PARENT PROGRAM AT RIVERVIEW HIGH & NORTH PORT HIGH – A program for pregnant and parenting teens and their children at the Sarasota County Public School System, to support completion of their high school program. Parenting education groups are offered weekly during the school year.

FRUITVILLE ELEMENTARY – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, mental health groups are offered weekly to students identified by the school’s Counseling Department.

GOCIO ELEMENTARY – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. Partners In Play® bilingual parenting groups are offered weekly to families with children under the age of five, during the school year. A Spanish parenting education series is also provided to their Latino incoming Kindergarten families, during summer months at their Parent University.

TUTTLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – A Title 1 Public School in Sarasota County for students in grades Pre-K to 5th grade. Throughout the school year, Individual therapy is provided weekly to students identified by the school’s Social Worker. Partners In Play® parenting groups are offered weekly to families with children under the age of five, during the school year.
